Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.03% in a weak market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.03 per cent up at 18622.4.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:14AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 1.82 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.03 per cent at 18622.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 73.1 points at 22199.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 315.81 points at 73083.97.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ONGC, Jio Financial Servic and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ujaas Energy, Par Drugs & Chemical, Selan Expl Tech, Indo Tech Trans and The Hi-Tech Gears hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while FutureLifestyleFash, SAL Steel Ltd, Keerti Knowledge, 8K Miles Soft and Omax Autos hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
