Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.14% in a weak market

Coforge Ltd.(down 0.43 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was down 0.14 per cent at 37674.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 93.61 points at 24208.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 367.73 points at 79681.94.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, Rail Vikas Nigam, NBCC and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Landmark Prop, BEML, Ahluwalia Contracts, DEE Development Eng and Shilpa Medicare hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Supply Chain, Shree Ram Proteins, Viji Finance, Alps Industries and Praxis Home Retail hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
