Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.18% in an upbeat market

HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was up 0.18 per cent at 33634.3 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 40.2 points at 22188.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 46.86 points at 72990.54.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jio Financial Servic, Exide Inds. and Motherson Sumi were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of AAA Technologies, Suratwwala Business, Dynacons Sys, Ramco Systems and Just Dial hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Visagar Polytex, Stampede Cap, Mittal Life Style, FutureLifestyleFash and LCC Infotech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
