Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.05%
The Nifty IT index closed 0.05 per cent up at 34547.45.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.Shares of Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.7 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.26 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.05 per cent up at 34547.45.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 58.11 points at 23322.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 149.98 points at 76606.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 ended in the green, while 16 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Hind Const Co, YES Bank, Reliance Power and IRB Infra Dev. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of ICE Make Refrigeration, OM Metal Infra, Gravita India, Associated Alcohols & Breweries and Panache Digilife hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Karda Const, Osia Hyper Retail, Kronox Lab Sciences, Kanani Inds and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
