Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.56% in a weak market

Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 2.72 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.81 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.19 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(down 1.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was down 0.56 per cent at 47505.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 86.66 points at 22185.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 399.27 points at 73000.51.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ONGC, Jio Financial Servic and Exide Inds. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ujaas Energy, AAA Technologies, Selan Expl Tech, Dolat Invst and Par Drugs & Chemical hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while FutureLifestyleFash, Keerti Knowledge, Times Guaranty, SE Power and TV Vision hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
