Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.04%
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.04 per cent down at 46575.9.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index closed on a negative note on Monday.Shares of Punjab National Bank(up 1.92 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.2 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.08 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Federal Bank Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.04 per cent down at 46575.9.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 32.36 points at 22055.7, while the BSE Sensex stood up 104.99 points at 72748.42.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel, NHPC and SJVN were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of The Anup Engg, Reliance Infra, Linde India, Force Motors and Somi Conveyor hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SITI Networks, Sanco Industries, Vaxtex Cotfab, Prudential Sugar and Stampede Cap(DVR)hit their fresh 52-week lows.
