Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.02% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.02 per cent down at 47967.3.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:19AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.State Bank of India(up 0.87 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.53 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.44 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.39 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.5 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.36 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.02 per cent at 47967.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 20.65 points at 22383.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 17.24 points at 73680.96.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, YES Bank, BEL and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Indian Hume Pipe, Crompton Greaves, Kirloskar Elec, Dixon Tech and Cords Cable Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Brightcom Group, BKM Industries, Thomas Scott, Eurotex Ind and N K Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
