Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.41% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.41 per cent up at 47681.4.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:20AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.Bank of Baroda(up 2.99 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 2.53 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent) and Federal Bank Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.41 per cent at 47681.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 130.85 points at 22278.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 364.36 points at 73308.04.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jio Financial Servic, Motherson Sumi and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of AAA Technologies, TPL Plastech, Dynacons Sys, Suratwwala Business and Ramco Systems hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Keerti Knowledge, Techindia Nirman, MEP Infrastructure, GIR Natureview and FutureLifestyleFash hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
