Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.18% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.18 per cent up at 52373.7.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:20AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.State Bank of India(up 1.52 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 1.5 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 1.1 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.18 per cent at 52373.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 74.6 points at 24576.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 214.43 points at 80733.77.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IFCI, IRFC, YES Bank and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kellton Tech, Artemis Medicare, Platinum Industries, Godfrey Philips and MTNL hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akme Fintrade(India, Brightcom Group, SecUR Credentials, Sanco Industries and JP Associates hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
