Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.14% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.14 per cent up at 48565.0.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 09:59AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.96 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.82 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.81 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) and Federal Bank Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.
IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.43 per cent), State Bank of India(down 0.42 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) and Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.14 per cent at 48565.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 12.96 points at 22583.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 24.49 points at 74363.93.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, GMR Infra, SAIL and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kirloskar Ind, Dolat Invst, Premier Exp, HG Infra Engg and Kirloskar Pneumatic hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Visagar Polytex, Atal Realtech, GI Engineering, Power & Instrument and Radaan Media hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
