Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.1% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.1 per cent up at 49855.15.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:39AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.Bank of Baroda(up 2.0 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 1.48 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.71 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 2.6 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.38 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.1 per cent at 49855.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 53.7 points at 23343.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 61.2 points at 76754.56.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IRB Infra Dev., NHPC and Mphasis were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Zenith Exports, Premier Exp, Jain Irrigation, Likhitha Infra and Sanofi India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Neueon Towers, Bohra Industries, Borosil Scientific, Melstar Info and Compuage Infocom hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
