Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.07% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.07 per cent up at 52491.7.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:25AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.7 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.24 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.23 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(up 0.2 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.07 per cent at 52491.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 62.71 points at 24649.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 185.42 points at 80850.28.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRB Infra Dev., YES Bank, IRFC and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Umang Dairies, Keynote Financial, Sportking India, Chennai Petro and Mukka Proteins hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), SecUR Credentials, M M Forgings and Landmark Cars hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
