Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.02% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.02 per cent up at 49407.0.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.Federal Bank Ltd.(up 4.0 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.68 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 3.88 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.71 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.02 per cent at 49407.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 64.86 points at 22669.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 219.93 points at 74702.71.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, REC and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ram Ratna Wire, Uravi T and Wedge, Geojit Financial, Hindustan Motor and REC hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Adroit Infotech (PP), Kotak Bank, Osia Hyper Retail, Keerti Knowledge and Touchwood Entertainm hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
