Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 1.45% in an upbeat market

MRF Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) and Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 0.6 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was up 1.45 per cent at 21913.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 103.15 points at 22616.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 349.67 points at 74597.89.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRB Infra Dev., YES Bank, Bandhan Bank and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Arvee Laboratories, Ind Swift Ltd, Sundaram Finance, Abans Holdings and Cinevista Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Blue Coast Hotel, Regency Ceramic, Peria Karamalai Tea and SS Infrastructure hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
