Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.63% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.63 per cent up at 25358.55.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 4.17 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.91 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(up 1.03 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent) were among the top gainers.
MRF Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.63 per cent at 25358.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 54.16 points at 24064.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 189.96 points at 79222.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RattanIndia Power, Indian Renewable and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Roto Pumps, GRP Ltd, Nahar Poly Film, NBI Industrial and Wockhardt hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ortel Communications, Akme Fintrade(India, Suumaya Lifestyle, Eurotex Ind and IndInfravit Trust hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
