Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Friday at 10:09AM

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.97%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.90%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.70%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.69%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 1.67%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.59%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.48%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 1.35%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 1.11%) and Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.05%) were among the top gainers.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.97%) and Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.31%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 17.21 points down at 21994.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 94.86 points at 72546.33 at around 10:09AM.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.51%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.64%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.58%), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.29%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.06%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.06%), ITC Ltd.(up 0.98%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.91%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 0.9%) and UPL Ltd.(up 0.88%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 4.07%), Wipro Ltd.(down 3.11%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.85%), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.45%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.68%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.27%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.85%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.79%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.77%) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.76%) were trading in the red.
