Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks mixed as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Monday's session.Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(up 1.97%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(up 1.97%), Coromandel International Ltd.(up 1.65%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.03%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.92%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.90%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 0.56%), Aries Agro Ltd.(up 0.41%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.19%) and National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 0.10%) stood among the top gainers.
Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 3.41%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 2.37%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.35%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 1.32%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 1.13%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.63%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.41%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(down 0.29%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 0.18%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.09%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 223.46 points up at 22643.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 941.12 points at 74671.28.
ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 4.72%), State Bank of India(up 3.15%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.83%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.72%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.57%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.99%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.97%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.89%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.54%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.42%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 5.87%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 4.64%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.39%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.17%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.93%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.76%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.68%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.64%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.56%) and Coal India Ltd.(down 0.56%) closed in the red.
