Meanwhile, Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT ) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 59.06 and ROSSETI PJSC (MCX:FEES ) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 0.08 in late trade.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.77% or 20.26 to $2,638.36 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.08% or 0.77 to hit $71.76 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.16% or 0.85 to trade at $74.42 a barrel.

USD/RUB was down 4.51% to 105.50, while EUR/RUB rose 2.24% to 117.56.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 108.25.
