Rising employee productivity to boost IT cos in hard times

Top tier IT exporters see rising employee productivity amidst challenges like revenue deceleration, shrinking margins, and lower headcount in FY24.

Amid , shrinking margins and lower headcount, a silver lining for the is the aided by streamlining of human resources through meticulous . In FY24, the top five companies reported a record high of $51,117. It grew by 6.5% year-on-year, the highest in six years.

At the company level, Infosys reported the highest year-on-year increase of 10.3% in revenue per employee at $58,510.9, which was also the highest among top peers. For TCS, the country's largest IT exporter, revenue per employee rose by 6.4% to $48,342.1.
