Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT ), which rose 2.41% or 0.43 points to trade at 18.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE ) added 0.82% or 0.02 points to end at 2.45 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS ) was up 0.58% or 0.02 points to 3.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP ), which fell 2.05% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.44 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) declined 1.96% or 0.22 points to end at 10.99 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ) was down 1.77% or 0.05 points to 2.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 7 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.15% or 0.11 to $72.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.16% or 0.11 to hit $68.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 8.59 to trade at $2,651.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 107.03.
