Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials , Utilities  and Financials  sectors led shares higher.  
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI  gained 1.29% to hit a new 1-month high.  
The best performers of the session on the PSI  were Mota Engil  SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ), which rose 3.07% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia  Nom (ELI:GALP ) added 2.93% or 0.49 points to end at 17.04 and EDP Renovaveis  (ELI:EDPR ) was up 2.46% or 0.23 points to 9.39 in late trade.  
The worst performers of the session were Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE ), which rose 0.22% or 0.01 points to trade at 2.32 at the close. Sonae  SGPS SA (ELI:YSO ) unchanged 0.22% or 0.00 points to end at 0.90 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA  (ELI:CTT ) was up 0.38% or 0.02 points to 5.30.  
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged. 
Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.84% or 1.47 to $81.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.27% or 1.73 to hit $78.10 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.21% or 32.51 to trade at $2,714.81 a troy ounce. 
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84. 
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 109.00.
