Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR ), which rose 4.52% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.61 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) added 3.37% or 0.36 points to end at 11.03 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP ) was up 3.16% or 0.11 points to 3.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT ), which fell 1.83% or 0.34 points to trade at 18.21 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT ) declined 0.11% or 0.01 points to end at 4.37 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT ) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 8.23.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.19% or 0.14 to $72.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $68.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 6.65 to trade at $2,579.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 106.50.
