Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials , Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ), which rose 3.61% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.64 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) added 2.31% or 0.25 points to end at 11.08 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT ) was up 1.96% or 0.09 points to 4.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT ), which fell 0.86% or 0.16 points to trade at 18.52 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP ) declined 0.38% or 0.06 points to end at 15.73 and Semapa (ELI:SEM ) was down 0.28% or 0.04 points to 14.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.67% or 1.97 to $71.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.00% or 2.11 to hit $68.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.75% or 74.20 to trade at $2,620.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 105.42.
