Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials , Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP ), which rose 1.59% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.45 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP ) added 1.17% or 0.04 points to end at 3.45 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA ) was up 0.99% or 0.08 points to 8.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS ), which fell 3.61% or 0.19 points to trade at 5.07 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR ) declined 3.44% or 0.13 points to end at 3.54 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) was down 1.13% or 0.12 points to 10.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.13% or 0.12 to 10.53.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.24% or 0.90 to $73.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.35% or 0.93 to hit $69.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 14.10 to trade at $2,665.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 107.06.
