Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms , Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO ), which rose 1.40% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.94 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) added 1.18% or 0.13 points to end at 11.12 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA ) was up 0.59% or 0.05 points to 8.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP ), which fell 0.82% or 0.13 points to trade at 15.65 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR ) declined 0.69% or 0.02 points to end at 3.47 and Semapa (ELI:SEM ) was down 0.43% or 0.06 points to 13.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.55% or 0.40 to $71.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.51% or 0.35 to hit $68.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 17.91 to trade at $2,664.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.89% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.00% at 105.90.
