Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.53%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media , Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.53%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI ), which rose 3.76% or 2.20 points to trade at 60.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Nel ASA (OL:NEL ) added 3.26% or 0.10 points to end at 3.20 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR ) was up 1.95% or 0.78 points to 40.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR ), which fell 1.63% or 0.58 points to trade at 35.02 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP ) declined 1.59% or 3.60 points to end at 223.50 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM ) was down 1.46% or 8.50 points to 575.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 165 to 110 and 29 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.76% or 0.52 to $68.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.55% or 0.40 to hit $72.54 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 24.84 to trade at $2,710.64 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 11.74, while USD/NOK rose 0.47% to 11.17.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 106.26.
