Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.42%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media , Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG ), which rose 2.42% or 4.50 points to trade at 190.50 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM ) added 1.87% or 10.00 points to end at 545.50 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB ) was up 1.39% or 1.60 points to 116.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM ), which fell 4.61% or 7.30 points to trade at 151.00 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG ) declined 3.05% or 33.00 points to end at 1,050.00 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS ) was down 2.74% or 0.32 points to 11.35.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 172 to 104 and 30 ended unchanged.

Shares in Storebrand ASA (OL:STB ) rose to all time highs; rising 1.39% or 1.60 to 116.30.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.99% or 1.38 to $70.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.76% or 1.28 to hit $73.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 15.70 to trade at $2,541.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.08% to 11.80, while USD/NOK rose 0.41% to 10.65.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 101.30.
