Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.62% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO ), which rose 11.37% or 20.00 points to trade at 195.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI ) added 7.23% or 4.55 points to end at 67.50 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO ) was up 4.09% or 4.50 points to 114.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL ), which fell 6.24% or 0.19 points to trade at 2.83 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS ) declined 2.35% or 0.26 points to end at 10.59 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM ) was down 2.32% or 3.50 points to 147.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 149 to 124 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.65% or 1.96 to $75.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.52% or 1.94 to hit $78.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.12% or 30.11 to trade at $2,720.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.17% to 11.75, while USD/NOK rose 0.63% to 11.47.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 109.39.
