Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.33%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL ), which rose 2.55% or 3.40 points to trade at 136.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Nel ASA (OL:NEL ) added 2.14% or 0.09 points to end at 4.29 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY ) was up 1.80% or 1.22 points to 68.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM ), which fell 3.49% or 5.30 points to trade at 146.70 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS ) declined 2.12% or 0.27 points to end at 12.24 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI ) was down 2.09% or 1.55 points to 72.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 138 to 130 and 41 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.47% or 0.33 to $70.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.31% or 0.23 to hit $74.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 9.95 to trade at $2,688.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.72% to 11.87, while USD/NOK rose 1.01% to 10.91.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 103.21.
