Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.26%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.26%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL ), which rose 2.40% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY ) added 1.92% or 1.30 points to end at 69.00 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL ) was up 1.85% or 2.50 points to 137.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM ), which fell 2.78% or 15.50 points to trade at 542.50 at the close. Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR ) declined 1.91% or 5.05 points to end at 259.00 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR ) was down 1.39% or 0.64 points to 45.24.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 138 to 137 and 31 ended unchanged.

Shares in Telenor ASA (OL:TEL ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.85% or 2.50 to 137.60. Shares in Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.39% or 0.64 to 45.24.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.36% or 0.94 to $70.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.30% or 0.95 to hit $73.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 5.05 to trade at $2,754.35 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.11% to 11.99, while USD/NOK rose 0.52% to 11.05.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.08.
