Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.11%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.11%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL ), which rose 5.04% or 6.60 points to trade at 137.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP ) added 4.08% or 9.20 points to end at 234.50 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS ) was up 3.06% or 0.31 points to 10.44 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL ), which fell 5.72% or 0.26 points to trade at 4.23 at the close. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO ) declined 4.36% or 5.30 points to end at 116.20 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR ) was down 4.23% or 2.04 points to 46.22.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 154 to 136 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Telenor ASA (OL:TEL ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.04% or 6.60 to 137.50. Shares in Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR ) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.23% or 2.04 to 46.22.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.57% or 1.73 to $68.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.42% or 1.71 to hit $72.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 15.20 to trade at $2,796.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 11.89, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 10.94.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 103.89.
