Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.31%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals , Beverage and Utilities sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.31%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CSE:MDP ), which rose 4.98% or 1.02 points to trade at 21.49 at the close. Meanwhile, CTM (CSE:CTM ) added 3.17% or 21.90 points to end at 711.90 and Taqa Morocco SA (CSE:TQM ) was up 1.45% or 20.00 points to 1,400.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE:SNP ), which fell 5.33% or 32.00 points to trade at 568.00 at the close. Salafin (CSE:SLF ) declined 3.23% or 18.00 points to end at 540.00 and CIH (CSE:CIH ) was down 3.09% or 12.60 points to 395.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 32 to 15 and 11 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.74% or 0.52 to $70.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $73.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.73% or 45.81 to trade at $2,607.49 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.39% to 10.44, while USD/MAD rose 0.52% to 10.04.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 107.83.
