Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q ), which rose 3.85% or 5.12 points to trade at 138.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA ) added 2.99% or 0.46 points to end at 15.85 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB ) was up 1.72% or 2.85 points to 168.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES ), which fell 5.38% or 16.13 points to trade at 283.54 at the close. Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:BIMBOA ) declined 3.31% or 2.15 points to end at 62.82 and Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO ) was down 2.68% or 0.31 points to 11.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 127 to 106 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.49% or 12.95 to $2,604.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $68.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $71.77 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.17% to 20.57, while EUR/MXN rose 0.84% to 21.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 105.84.
