Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking , Financials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR ), which rose 1.24% or 2,330.00 points to trade at 190,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG ) added 1.19% or 72.00 points to end at 6,145.00 and NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE ) was up 1.07% or 710.00 points to 66,910.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nova (TASE:NVMI ), which fell 4.00% or 2,580.00 points to trade at 61,920.00 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO ) declined 3.68% or 3,280.00 points to end at 85,770.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS ) was down 3.29% or 234.00 points to 6,874.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 255 to 201 and 82 ended unchanged.
Shares in Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR ) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.24% or 2,330.00 to 190,000.00. Shares in Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.19% or 72.00 to 6,145.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.16% or 0.11 to $68.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $72.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 21.64 to trade at $2,667.94 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.38% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS rose 1.22% to 3.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.92% at 105.99.
