IRCTC shares  down  0.64% as Sensex  falls

Shares of Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd. fell 0.64 per cent to Rs 1094.35 in Tuesday's session as of 11:31AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark traded 65.38 points lower at 73940.56.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 1122.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 604.0 on . Around 95250 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:31AM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 1108.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1122.0 and Rs 1087.8 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 80.17, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 13.82 and price to book value (PB) of 18.5, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 40.58.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 62.4 per cent stake in the company as of May 21, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 8.08 per cent and 2.97 per cent, respectively.

With a market capitalisation of Rs 88640.0 crore, the company operates in the Travel Agen. / Tourism Deve. / Amusement Park / Catering industry. For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1163.86 crore, up 11.65 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 1042.39 crore and up 22.66 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 300.0 crore for the latest quarter, up 17.4 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
