Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr ), which rose 1.47% or 0.16 points to trade at 11.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Metlen Energy & Metals AE (AT:MYTr ) added 1.23% or 0.40 points to end at 32.80 and Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr ) was up 0.92% or 0.10 points to 11.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr ), which fell 5.08% or 0.14 points to trade at 2.53 at the close. Intrakat Technikon Kai Energeiakon Ergon AE (AT:INCr ) declined 4.54% or 0.23 points to end at 4.84 and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr ) was down 4.11% or 0.83 points to 19.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 104 to 18 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.08% or 0.14 to 2.53. Shares in Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.11% or 0.83 to 19.35.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.58% or 16.05 to $2,797.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.54% or 1.71 to hit $68.92 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.42% or 1.71 to trade at $72.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 103.87.
