Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.56%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.56%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr ), which rose 2.03% or 0.68 points to trade at 34.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr ) added 1.80% or 0.06 points to end at 3.40 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr ) was up 1.31% or 0.04 points to 2.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr ), which fell 2.17% or 0.48 points to trade at 21.64 at the close. Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr ) declined 2.12% or 0.24 points to end at 11.10 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr ) was down 2.11% or 0.08 points to 3.90.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 77 to 36 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.03% or 0.68 to 34.10.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 4.60 to $2,537.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.26% or 2.24 to hit $66.47 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.94% or 2.11 to trade at $69.73 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 101.70.
