Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr ), which rose 3.08% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Interlife General Insurance Company SA (AT:INLIFr ) added 2.38% or 0.11 points to end at 4.74 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr ) was up 2.35% or 0.09 points to 3.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Public Power (AT:DEHr ), which fell 1.99% or 0.24 points to trade at 11.84 at the close. Jumbo SA (AT:BABr ) declined 1.96% or 0.52 points to end at 26.06 and Alumil (AT:ALMr ) was down 1.55% or 0.07 points to 4.13.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.43% or 38.91 to $2,757.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.17% or 0.80 to hit $69.39 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.87% or 0.63 to trade at $72.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 106.42.
