Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction , Travel and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr ), which rose 3.25% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr ) added 2.14% or 0.08 points to end at 3.87 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH ) was up 1.94% or 0.11 points to 5.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr ), which fell 1.47% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr ) declined 1.11% or 0.02 points to end at 1.79 and Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr ) was down 0.96% or 0.09 points to 9.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 76 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.94% or 25.40 to $2,732.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.25% or 1.59 to hit $69.08 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.15% or 1.60 to trade at $72.85 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.39.
