Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction , Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR ), which rose 5.04% or 0.70 points to trade at 14.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr ) added 3.27% or 0.50 points to end at 15.80 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr ) was up 2.35% or 0.04 points to 1.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr ), which fell 2.17% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.25 at the close. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr ) declined 2.05% or 0.03 points to end at 1.53 and HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:HEPr ) was down 1.91% or 0.13 points to 6.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 54 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr ) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.17% or 0.05 to 2.25.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.13% or 30.20 to $2,705.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.24% or 0.87 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.97% or 0.72 to trade at $74.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 107.57.
