Finland stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 1.10%

Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare , Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.10% to hit a new 52-week low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V ), which rose 0.32% or 0.01 points to trade at 2.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM ) added 0.23% or 0.03 points to end at 13.10 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM ) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 66.35 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV ), which fell 3.73% or 0.35 points to trade at 9.09 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB ) declined 2.82% or 0.12 points to end at 3.99 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO ) was down 2.54% or 0.24 points to 9.03.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 130 to 43 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV ) fell to 3-years lows; losing 3.73% or 0.35 to 9.09. Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB ) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.82% or 0.12 to 3.99.

Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.93% or 0.68 to $72.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.80% or 1.27 to hit $69.31 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.76% or 46.64 to trade at $2,606.66 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.41% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 108.18.
