Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare , Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT ), which rose 11.63% or 2.94 points to trade at 28.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV ) added 5.83% or 2.74 points to end at 49.77 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA ) was up 2.08% or 1.35 points to 66.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI ), which fell 2.39% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.44 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA ) declined 1.96% or 0.44 points to end at 22.06 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM ) was down 1.47% or 0.44 points to 29.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 104 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 11.63% or 2.94 to 28.21. Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.83% or 2.74 to 49.77. Shares in Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA ) rose to all time highs; rising 2.08% or 1.35 to 66.30.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.72% or 1.28 to $73.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.22% or 1.59 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.85 to trade at $2,682.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 100.50.
