Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.58%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare , Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.58%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb ), which rose 3.08% or 360.00 points to trade at 12,050.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa ) added 2.66% or 300.00 points to end at 11,560.00 and NKT Holding (CSE:NKT ) was up 1.57% or 8.00 points to 517.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb ), which fell 3.89% or 30.50 points to trade at 754.00 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB ) declined 3.33% or 49.50 points to end at 1,438.50 and Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA ) was down 3.04% or 24.50 points to 780.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 67 to 64 and 23 ended unchanged.

Shares in Genmab (CSE:GMAB ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.33% or 49.50 to 1,438.50.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.31% or 0.92 to $70.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.05% or 0.77 to hit $74.18 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.09% or 29.41 to trade at $2,679.99 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.27% to 7.11, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 106.69.
