Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.59%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate , Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.59%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT ), which rose 2.27% or 6.00 points to trade at 270.20 at the close. Meanwhile, NKT Holding (CSE:NKT ) added 1.48% or 9.50 points to end at 649.50 and Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA ) was up 1.29% or 10.00 points to 787.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS ), which fell 4.77% or 6.30 points to trade at 125.70 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb ) declined 2.17% or 17.80 points to end at 802.40 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb ) was down 2.11% or 220.00 points to 10,205.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 67 to 60 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS ) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.77% or 6.30 to 125.70.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 5.15% or 3.80 to $70.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.89% or 3.79 to hit $73.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 14.50 to trade at $2,680.10 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was unchanged 0.03% to 6.84, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 102.92.
