Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.02%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.02%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS ), which rose 6.75% or 6.60 points to trade at 104.70 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb ) added 5.04% or 600.00 points to end at 12,505.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa ) was up 4.51% or 520.00 points to 12,060.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb ), which fell 0.38% or 3.00 points to trade at 783.20 at the close. Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb ) declined 0.31% or 8.00 points to end at 2,544.00 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE ) was up 0.05% or 0.10 points to 203.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 108 to 23 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.51% or 1.80 to $73.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.22% or 1.66 to hit $76.30 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 28.34 to trade at $2,669.34 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 1.04% to 7.28, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.84% at 109.21.
