Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.25%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.25%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb ), which rose 3.13% or 24.40 points to trade at 803.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK ) added 2.80% or 14.50 points to end at 532.50 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS ) was up 2.54% or 3.30 points to 131.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb ), which fell 1.55% or 160.00 points to trade at 10,180.00 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb ) declined 1.35% or 6.20 points to end at 454.20 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa ) was down 1.30% or 130.00 points to 9,845.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 51 and 12 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $70.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $74.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 18.00 to trade at $2,709.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.22% to 6.88, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 103.50.
