Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumption , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.67% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Brava Energia SA (BVMF:BRAV3 ), which rose 10.64% or 2.17 points to trade at 22.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:PETZ3 ) added 3.75% or 0.15 points to end at 4.15 and Automob Participações SA (BVMF:AMOB3 ) was up 2.94% or 0.01 points to 0.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3 ), which fell 7.17% or 0.36 points to trade at 4.66 at the close. Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3 ) declined 4.62% or 0.26 points to end at 5.37 and Lwsa SA (BVMF:LWSA3 ) was down 3.30% or 0.11 points to 3.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 519 to 437 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3 ) fell to all time lows; down 4.62% or 0.26 to 5.37. Shares in Lwsa SA (BVMF:LWSA3 ) fell to 3-years lows; losing 3.30% or 0.11 to 3.22.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.25% to 33.01.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.81% or 21.39 to $2,632.51 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.95% or 0.66 to hit $70.28 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract fell 0.88% or 2.85 to trade at $321.80 .
USD/BRL was up 0.23% to 6.20, while EUR/BRL rose 0.59% to 6.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 107.82.
