Belgium stocks lower at close of trade; BEL 20 down 0.71%

Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials , Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.71%.

The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Elia (EBR:ELI ), which rose 1.40% or 1.05 points to trade at 76.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (EBR:ARGX ) added 0.29% or 1.80 points to end at 612.60 and Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR:ACKB ) was up 0.21% or 0.40 points to 193.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI ), which fell 2.83% or 1.38 points to trade at 47.38 at the close. Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS ) declined 2.51% or 1.76 points to end at 68.47 and Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR:AZE ) was down 1.56% or 0.30 points to 18.98.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 42 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.83% or 1.38 to 47.38. Shares in Argen-X (EBR:ARGX ) rose to all time highs; up 0.29% or 1.80 to 612.60. Shares in Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR:ACKB ) rose to all time highs; up 0.21% or 0.40 to 193.80.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.54% or 14.54 to $2,654.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.19% or 0.87 to hit $74.00 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.57 to trade at $76.50 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 108.81.
