Ashish Kacholia offloads nearly 4 lakh shares of this smallcap manufacturing company

Ace investor Ashish Kacholia made a move on Tuesday by selling a portion of his stake in Ador Welding, a small-cap manufacturer renowned for its high-quality welding machines.

Ace investor sold some of his stake in the smallcap manufacturer of high-quality welding machines, on Tuesday.

Kacholia sold 3.88 lakh shares of the company at a price of Rs 1,255 as per the information available with the stock exchanges.

Quant Mutual Fund acquired the stake from Ashish Kacholia in this transaction via Quant PSU Fund which acquired 1 lakh shares and Quant Manufacturing Fund which bought nearly 2.8 lakh shares of Ador.

The total transaction value of the deal amounted to Rs 48.7 crore according to the numbers provided to the exchanges.

Kacholia held approximately 5.67 lakh shares in Ador Welding as per the shareholding pattern of March 2024, which now comes down to 1.79 lakh shares after Tuesday’s sale.

According to the same data, 43.10% of holdings in Ador Welding rests in the hands of the public including retail investors, FIIs, investment funds etc while the remaining 56.90% is held by the promoters and the promoter group.

The ace investor’s portfolio net worth rose by 7.46% to Rs 3,138.35 crore in June 2034 as per the Trendlyne data. The same data states that Kacholia holds a stake of 12.5%, 9.6% and 9.5% in companies like Beta Drugs, Shaily Engineering Plastics and DU Digital Global respectively.

Ador Welding Limited was formerly known as Advani–Oerlikon Limited and is an industrial manufacturing company which produces a variety of welding products, industry applications, and technology services, including welding consumables (electrodes, wires, and fluxes) as well as welding and cutting equipment.

The shares of Ador Welding were trading flat at Rs 1,424 on BSE today around 11 am.
