Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking , Food & Beverages and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 2.49%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN ), which rose 3.04% or 332.50 points to trade at 11,270.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV ) added 1.87% or 1.10 points to end at 60.05 and Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL ) was up 1.55% or 0.66 points to 43.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR ), which fell 9.96% or 2.42 points to trade at 21.88 at the close. Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT ) declined 9.94% or 1.50 points to end at 13.59 and Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS ) was down 6.15% or 0.30 points to 4.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 483 to 82 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS ) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.15% or 0.30 to 4.58.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.04% or 1.20 to $2,748.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.94% or 1.35 to hit $70.84 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.86% or 1.36 to trade at $74.46 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 34.35, while EUR/TRY rose 0.36% to 37.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 103.57.
